Ben really helped me get into a car as quickly as possible when I was in a tight spot, and it has been the best decision of my life to switch from Hertz to rent with Atrium Car Rentals.

The FSD feature is a game changer for long highway rides. My passengers are always impressed and I'm less tired at the end of a shift. Best rental decision I've ever made.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Getting Started

Getting started takes less than 5 minutes. Apply online at driveatrium.com, call us at (385) 202-9324, or send us an email. We verify your info and most drivers are approved same day. Once approved, you can pick up your Tesla within 24 hours.

A valid driver's license, minimum age of 21 years old, liability insurance, and a credit or debit card for payment. That's it — no lengthy credit checks or complicated paperwork.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and standard payment methods through our secure system.

We require a fully refundable $300 security deposit to get started. The deposit is held on your card and returned in full when you return the vehicle, minus any incidental charges. No hidden fees, no surprises.

Insurance & Protection

Yes, we require all renters to have a current and active policy with at least minimum liability insurance. If you do not have full coverage, our Rental Car Damage Protection add-on provides additional protection for the rental vehicle, specifically covering damages from collisions. Our insurance is secondary, meaning it only covers the rental vehicle if a collision occurs and your insurance acts as the primary.

Our Rental Car Damage Protection covers damages to the rental vehicle from collisions. It does not cover damage caused to another vehicle — however, the minimum state liability insurance that we require would cover any damage to another person's vehicle. Please note that our Rental Car Damage Protection is an additional form of protection but is not a standalone insurance policy. We still require all renters to have a current and active policy with at least minimum liability insurance.

Pricing & Fees

Our weekly rate includes everything — unlimited miles, CDW insurance, free maintenance, Tesla app access, premium connectivity, Full Self-Driving, and tinted windows. Contact us for current pricing. Most of our drivers earn $1,500–$2,000 per week, well above the rental cost.

None. Unlike big corporate rental companies that pile on surcharges, processing fees, and insurance upsells, our pricing is transparent and straightforward. One weekly price covers everything. The only additional cost is Supercharging, which is billed directly to you through Tesla at real-time rates — far cheaper than gas.

Unlimited. Drive as much as you want with no caps, no per-mile fees, and no fine print. We know rideshare drivers put on serious miles, so we don't penalize you for working hard.

Vehicle & Platforms

Every major platform — Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Spark, and more. Our vehicles are approved for all rideshare and delivery services, so you can maximize your earnings across multiple apps.

We exclusively rent Tesla Model 3 Long Range vehicles — bought brand new. Every vehicle comes standard with Full Self-Driving, tinted windows, premium connectivity, and full Tesla app access. You get the same car experience as a Tesla owner.

You'll have access to the full Tesla Supercharger network and we provide a 120V home charger so you can top up overnight. Supercharging costs are billed directly to you at Tesla's real-time rates — which are a fraction of what you'd spend on gas. This is where drivers save the most money compared to traditional rentals.

Yes, you can add an additional driver who is not listed on your personal auto insurance policy, such as a friend instead of a spouse or family member. This allows them to drive the rental vehicle with full coverage for $25/day. The additional driver must meet the same rental requirements as the primary driver.

Pickup, Return & Cancellation

Pickup is at our location in Provo, Utah — 470 N 900 E. We serve drivers across Salt Lake City, Provo, and Orem. We'll work with you to find a convenient pickup time.

There are no cancellation fees for reservations canceled more than 72 hours prior to delivery or pick-up. Cancellations within 72 hours of the reservation will be penalized with 25% of the reservation total. Your $300 deposit is fully refundable upon return of the vehicle.

We've got your back. If you run into any issues on the road, contact us and we'll take care of it. Our drivers are our priority — as one of our reviews says, we've replaced a car at midnight when a driver needed us.

Why Uber & Lyft Drivers in Utah Choose Atrium

How Much Can Uber Drivers Earn With a Tesla in Utah?

Uber and Lyft drivers in Utah who drive a Tesla Model 3 Long Range through Atrium Car Rentals typically earn between $1,500 and $2,000 per week. The Tesla advantage is significant: riders prefer the premium experience and tip more generously — drivers report tips increasing by 30% or more after switching from a gas vehicle. Combined with near-zero fuel costs (Tesla Supercharging costs a fraction of gasoline), drivers keep more of every dollar earned. Atrium's all-inclusive weekly rate means there are no surprise maintenance bills, no insurance headaches, and no depreciation on a personal vehicle. For drivers in Provo, Salt Lake City, and Orem, this makes Atrium the most cost-effective way to maximize rideshare earnings in Utah.

Tesla Rental vs. Buying a Car for Uber: Which Is Better?

For new Uber drivers in Utah, renting a Tesla from Atrium is significantly more cost-effective than buying a vehicle. Purchasing a car requires a down payment of $3,000-$10,000, monthly loan payments of $400-$700, insurance costs, maintenance, and the risk of depreciation. With Atrium, you start driving with just a $300 refundable deposit and a single weekly payment that covers everything — insurance, maintenance, unlimited miles, and Full Self-Driving access. There's no long-term commitment, no auto loan, and no risk. If rideshare driving isn't for you, simply return the car. For drivers already on the road, switching from a gas vehicle to a Tesla eliminates fuel costs entirely and the premium Tesla experience drives higher earnings through better tips and access to premium ride tiers.

Why Atrium Instead of Hertz, Turo, or HyreCar for Rideshare?

Atrium Car Rentals is purpose-built for rideshare drivers in Utah, unlike national chains that treat rideshare as an afterthought. Hertz charges $375 per week as a base rate, with extra fees pushing costs up to $550 per week — and for that price you get a stripped-down vehicle with no Full Self-Driving, no tinted windows, no premium connectivity, no Tesla app access, limited platform approvals, and mileage caps that penalize you for actually working. HyreCar has paused rideshare rentals entirely. Turo offers inconsistent quality, unreliable availability, and no built-in insurance. Atrium gives you a fully loaded Tesla Model 3 Long Range with everything included — FSD, tinted windows, premium connectivity, Tesla app access, approval on every platform, unlimited miles, CDW insurance, and free maintenance — all for less than what Hertz charges for a basic rental with none of those features. When you call Atrium, a real person answers. When you need help at midnight, someone shows up. That's the difference between a local partner and a corporate machine.

Serving Provo, Salt Lake City, Orem, and All of Utah

Atrium Car Rentals is headquartered at 470 N 900 E in Provo, Utah, and serves rideshare drivers across the entire Wasatch Front. Whether you're driving for Uber in downtown Salt Lake City, delivering with DoorDash in Orem, or running Instacart in Provo, Atrium's Tesla Model 3 Long Range vehicles are approved for every major platform. Utah's growing population and thriving tech sector mean consistent demand for rideshare services, making it one of the best markets in the country for Uber and Lyft drivers. With Tesla Supercharger stations throughout the state, range anxiety is never an issue. Atrium drivers start earning within 24 hours of applying.
