Step 1 โ€” before anything else
DO NOT ADMIT FAULT
Don't say sorry. Don't explain what you think happened. Don't agree to anything, and don't talk to the other driver's insurance company. Even a polite apology can be used against you.
If anyone is hurtCall 911 Then call Atrium(385) 204-4272
Call us immediately โ€” not later. If we don't pick up, leave a voicemail and say what happened: where you are, what was hit, whether police are there, and whether the car still drives. Then text the same number. That voicemail starts your claim and protects you.

Do these in order

  1. 1Do not admit faultSay nothing about who caused it โ€” to anyone at the scene, or to their insurer.
  2. 2Get safeTurn on your hazards. If the car drives, move it out of traffic. Stay out of live lanes.
  3. 3Call 911 if anyone is hurtIf there's any doubt at all, call. Do this before anything else.
  4. 4Call Atrium immediately(385) 204-4272 โ€” answered 24/7. No answer? Leave a voicemail explaining exactly what happened, then text us.
  5. 5Always file a police reportEven for small damage. Even if the other driver asks you not to. Get the report number.
  6. 6Exchange informationName, phone, license, plate, and insurance for every driver. Get names and numbers for any witnesses before they leave.
  7. 7Photograph everything โ€” thoroughlyMore photos is always better. Take far more than you think you need. See the list below.
  8. 8Send us a written report within 24 hoursEmail info@driveatrium.com with what happened, the police report number, and your photos.

Photograph all of this

Take these before anything moves, if it's safe to do so.
