Vehicle Data Notice

Your rental agreement points here. This page says what the car records while you have it, what we do with it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what to do if you think a charge based on that data is wrong.

EV-Solutions LLC d/b/a Atrium Car Rentals · Version vdn-v1-2026 · Effective 2 September 2026

What the car records

Our Teslas (Model 3 and Model Y) report through the Tesla API using a telematics service called Teslemetry. The Toyota Camry Hybrid and any vehicle fitted with an aftermarket telematics device report the same kinds of data through that device (we use Samsara hardware for this; as of the effective date no Samsara device is installed in the fleet). What comes back is:

Cameras — the honest version

Teslas ship from the factory with a cabin camera above the mirror and exterior cameras that can record through Sentry Mode and Dashcam.

Atrium does not routinely receive or review cabin-camera footage. We do not stream it, we do not pull it as part of normal fleet operations, and it is not part of how we bill you or check on you. Where footage — cabin, Sentry, or Dashcam — is in fact collected, accessible, downloaded, or disclosed to us, this notice and our Privacy Policy cover it, and it is treated as incident material: kept only if there is an incident, used only for that incident, and not browsed.

What we use it for

We do not sell vehicle data.

Who sees it

Atrium staff, and these categories of recipients when there is a reason: telematics and fleet vendors (Teslemetry, Tesla, Samsara); connected-data vendors (Argyle); insurers and brokers (including HUB International and Y-Risk); repair and recovery providers; payment processors; professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants; and law enforcement where the law allows or requires it.

How long we keep it

Kind of recordKept for
Telematics that supports a charge on your accountThe rental, plus the applicable limitations period — and longer while a dispute, claim, or investigation is open
Routine telematics not tied to a chargeThe rental, plus what insurance, safety, tax, and legal needs require
Signed agreements and billing recordsAt least 7 years
Camera footage (cabin, Sentry, Dashcam)Not retained unless an incident occurs — then kept for that incident and under any litigation hold

If you think a data-based charge is wrong

If you still disagree after seeing the records, tell us why in writing and we will re-review before the charge stands. Nothing here limits any right you have under your rental agreement or under the law.

Remote immobilization, in brief

The vehicle can be remotely prevented from starting. It is never used on a moving or occupied vehicle. Except where we have a documented, good-faith belief of a theft in progress or an immediate danger, it is used only after the written notice of default and cure process in your agreement and a final warning at least 48 hours ahead, sent to the email and phone on file. Every use is authorized by a named Atrium principal and logged. You can request an emergency restart at any time on (385) 204-4272.

The full rules are in the Remote Immobilization Policy.
