• Weekly rental: $425 flat, with maintenance and 5,000 miles a month included
• Charging: roughly $45–$60 for a full-time week, paid by you at Tesla's rates — a fraction of what gas costs

What's left after those fixed costs is your take-home, and it swings with your gross — which is why the vehicle matters: a Model Y that qualifies for premium ride tiers lifts the fare side of the equation while the cost side stays flat.

Why the car changes the math

Two drivers working identical hours can take home very different amounts. A newer Tesla earns more for the same work: riders rate the experience higher and tip more — drivers we work with report noticeably stronger tips after switching from a gas car — and premium ride tiers pay more per mile.
