Most standard rental agreements prohibit rideshare use. Atrium's rental agreement explicitly permits driving for Uber and Lyft — the fleet exists for it. Every rental includes routine maintenance, registration and basic roadside assistance, with 5,000 miles a month on the Teslas, measured as 1,250 a week, and unlimited rideshare miles on the Camry Hybrid when it arrives.

A Tesla Model 3 is $425 a week and a Model Y is $599 a week; the Toyota Camry Hybrid will be $375 a week when it arrives in October 2026. Weekly rates include routine maintenance, registration, basic roadside assistance and Supercharging network access. Costs on top of rent include your own qualifying auto insurance — or ask about coverage through Atrium's program if your policy doesn't qualify — and charging, billed to you at Tesla rates plus 10%. Personal (off-app) driving is limited to 500 of those miles a month. Costs on top of rent include a $25 application fee, a $300 refundable deposit and your own charging, and you carry qualifying auto insurance or ask about coverage through Atrium’s program. Ride-tier eligibility is determined by Uber and Lyft for the specific vehicle and driver account.

You must be 25 or older with a valid, unrestricted license held at least three years, auto insurance meeting Utah minimums (your own qualifying policy, or coverage through Atrium's program), proof of address, an active Uber or Lyft driver account, and a credit card kept on file. No. That is the point of renting. Atrium provides the Tesla and covers its maintenance, so you can start driving without owning a qualifying vehicle.

It removes maintenance costs, fuel costs and depreciation from your own vehicle. Our fleet's measured charging cost averaged $0.089 a mile in August 2026, and Uber decides which ride tiers your account and car qualify for.

Uber and Lyft are approved. Delivery platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart and Spark need our written approval first.

Uber makes that call for each driver, and it does not guarantee a rental from outside its own partner marketplace. As of October 1, 2026, Uber's car rental FAQ says such a rental needs its registration and proof of rideshare-approved insurance uploaded by hand. A shorter Uber help article goes further: it allows rentals only through approved partnerships and warns that an unapproved one can get an account waitlisted or deactivated.
