How much does a Tesla rental for Uber cost in Utah?
At Atrium Car Rentals, a Tesla Model 3 is $425 a week and a Tesla Model Y is $599 a week. Both include 5,000 miles a month, measured as 1,250 a week, plus routine maintenance, registration and basic roadside. Personal (off-app) driving is limited to 500 of those miles a month. Costs on top of rent include a $25 application fee, a $300 refundable deposit, your own insurance and your Supercharging, billed weekly at Tesla rates plus 10%.

Where can you pick up a Tesla rental for Uber in Utah?
Atrium Car Rentals hands over every Tesla at 488 N 900 E, Provo, UT 84606, about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City on I-15. Applying, document upload and signing all happen online, so the pickup appointment is the only visit (Mon–Fri 11 AM–6 PM, after-hours by arrangement). Renters drive Uber and Lyft across the Wasatch Front, from Ogden to Spanish Fork.

Can you rent a Tesla through Uber in Utah?
Yes, if Uber has already approved you to drive. As of October 1, 2026, Uber's Vehicle Marketplace in Salt Lake City lists a Hertz Tesla at $290 a week before taxes and fees. That is a 2021 or 2022 Model 3 Standard Plus with up to 260 miles of range. The same listing shows a Model 3 Long Range at $376 a week, at branches that stock both.
Insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance are included, and there is no mileage cap on Uber trips. Supercharging fees are added to your rental. Hertz takes a $200 deposit and needs 30 Uber trips in each rental week to keep extending the rental. It allows one rideshare program per rental, per Hertz's Uber driver page. The weekly rate drops to $280 after seven straight weeks if you average 30 or more trips a week, pay on time, keep the car damage-free and stay within Hertz's mileage conditions.
Is renting a Tesla for Uber better than Uber's own rental program?
It depends on how you drive. Hertz's Tesla through Uber costs less and includes insurance: $290 a week before taxes and fees, or $376 for a Long Range where a branch stocks one. Atrium's Long Range Model 3 is $425 a week plus tax, and you bring your own insurance. What Atrium adds: a 2026 Model Y at $599, permission to drive Lyft as well as Uber, and no weekly trip minimum. Maintenance, registration and basic roadside are included, and a person in Provo answers your texts.
Uber also treats the two differently. It recommends its Marketplace partners, and a rental from anywhere else, Atrium included, needs the documents uploaded by hand, with no promise from Uber that it will be approved. What do you need to rent a Tesla for rideshare in Utah?
You need to be 25 or older with a valid, unrestricted license held at least three years, a clean recent driving record, qualifying auto insurance, an active Uber or Lyft driver account and a credit card on file. There is no credit check. Bring your own qualifying auto insurance, or ask about coverage through Atrium's program if your policy doesn't qualify — rates depend on your driving record.
