Is renting a Tesla for Uber better than Uber's own rental program?
It depends on what you want to keep. Uber's rental partners advertise Teslas at a similar weekly starting rate, and the fees, mileage, insurance and service arrangements vary by program. Atrium's $425 Model 3 rate includes maintenance, registration and basic roadside, the agreement permits Lyft as well as Uber, and a real person in Provo answers the phone.

What do you need to rent a Tesla for rideshare in Utah?
You need to be 25 or older with a valid, unrestricted license held at least three years, a clean recent driving record, qualifying auto insurance, an active Uber or Lyft driver account and a credit card on file. There is no credit check. Bring your own qualifying auto insurance, or ask about coverage through Atrium's program if your policy doesn't qualify — rates depend on your driving record.
