Yes. Atrium Car Rentals (EV-Solutions LLC) in Provo, Utah rents the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y to Lyft drivers for a month or more, billed weekly, with rideshare use explicitly permitted in the rental agreement. There is no credit check; approval is based on your driving record and an active Lyft driver account, and most drivers are approved within 24 hours. Both Teslas meet the age, door and seat rules Lyft publishes for Utah; whether Lyft approves the car, and ride types such as Extra Comfort, depend on your driver account and Lyft's current local rules, which Lyft decides.

Only an Express Drive rental, according to Lyft's published rules. As of October 1, 2026, Lyft's vehicle requirements article says a rental car must come through Express Drive to be approved. Lyft's Utah driver page lists a rental from outside Express Drive among the vehicles it does not accept, next to taxis and stretch limousines. Neither page describes a route for a car rented from an independent company.
Atrium is not part of Express Drive. Our renters upload the documents Lyft asks for with any car: its Utah registration and their own insurance document, which names the driver and the car's VIN. Renters drive on Lyft and Uber with these cars today, but that is not a promise for your account. Lyft decides whether to approve the car and which ride types you get, so read its rule before you book.
Yes. Express Drive costs less and includes insurance, and Atrium lets you drive Uber too. As of October 1, 2026, Lyft's Express Drive page lists Salt Lake City rentals from $286 a week for a midsize car, $304 for an electric car and $359 for an XL, and Lyft's help center names Hertz as the partner there. Those prices are before taxes and fees, and Lyft says they are not final. Insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance are included, and mileage is unlimited for Lyft and personal driving. Renters must be 25, a refundable deposit is required, and the minimum rental is seven days.
Atrium's Model 3 is $425 a week and the Model Y $599, and you carry your own insurance. In return, the agreement permits Uber as well as Lyft, and Atrium sets no ride minimums of its own. The cars are Long Range Model 3s and 2026 Model Ys with 5,000 miles a month, measured as 1,250 a week, of which up to 500 can be personal (off-app) driving. Maintenance, registration and basic roadside are included, and a person in Provo answers your texts. The full program breakdown is on Lyft Express Drive in Utah.

You need to be 25 or older with a valid, unrestricted license held at least three years, a clean recent driving record, qualifying auto insurance, an active Lyft driver account and a credit card on file. There is no credit check. Bring your own qualifying auto insurance, or ask about coverage through Atrium's program if your policy doesn't qualify — rates depend on your driving record.
