Can You Rent a Car by the Month in Utah?
Yes, if you drive for Uber or Lyft. Atrium Car Rentals in Provo rents the Tesla Model 3 and the 2026 Tesla Model Y with a one-month minimum, at $425 and $599 a week, plus tax. Rent is priced for a rental of 31 days or longer, so the practical minimum is 31 days, three days into a fifth rental week.
We don't rent to travelers or to anyone without an active Uber or Lyft account; for a month of personal driving, a traditional rental company is the better fit.
How Much Does a Monthly Car Rental Cost in Utah?
Rent is billed weekly, plus tax, and priced for a rental of 31 days or longer: one that ends before day 31 owes Utah's short-term rental taxes, about 12.5%, on all rent paid (rental agreement §14). Costs on top of rent include charging and insurance.

Supercharging is billed weekly at Tesla's rates plus a 10% service fee. The fleet's measured charging cost across seven Atrium cars in August 2026 averaged $16.73 a day, or about $468 over four weeks. If your insurance policy has no collision and comprehensive cover, the Loss Damage Waiver is required at $120 a week. Your first week's rent is due at pickup, and the deposit's refundable balance comes back within 14 days of return and final inspection.

What Comes With a Long-Term Car Rental?
Routine maintenance, scheduled service and tire rotations are paid by Atrium for as long as you rent.

Not included. The optional Windshield & Tire Plan, $15 a day, covers rock chips, cracked windshields and flat or blown tires.
Model 3, 2018–2023, Long Range · Dual Motor AWD. Model Y, 2026 Long Range AWD. Every car in the fleet is tinted.
How Do 5,000 Miles a Month Work?
Each Tesla includes 5,000 miles a month, measured as 1,250 a week. Your week starts on the day and hour you picked up the car, and each week is counted on its own. Miles left over in a quiet week don't carry into a busy one. Personal (off-app) driving is limited to 500 of those miles a month.
So plan by the week, not the month. Drive 1,100 miles one week and 1,400 the next, and the second week is 150 miles over. That costs $45 on a Model 3 at $0.30 a mile, or $60 on a Model Y at $0.40, even though the two weeks together come to 2,500, exactly two weeks' allowance. Weekly billing in detail: weekly car rental rates.
Is This a Month-to-Month Car Rental?
Not quite. Rent is billed weekly, but the first month is a commitment. If you return the car before the month is up, the $300 deposit is forfeited and a $100 early-termination charge applies, unless we end the rental or the car becomes unusable through no fault of yours. You still pay rent only for the weeks you had the car, and ending before day 31 adds the taxes described above.
After the first month the rental renews each week until you give 4 days' notice and return the car.
Who Can Rent a Car for a Month From Atrium?
You need to be 25 or older, with a valid license held for at least 3 continuous years, no suspension, revocation or reckless-driving conviction in the past 3 years, no DUI or impaired-driving conviction in the past 5, an active Uber or Lyft driver account and a credit card on file. There is no credit check: the $25 application fee covers the driving-record and background check, and most drivers are approved within 24 hours.
You carry your own auto insurance that meets Utah minimums and upload proof: a certificate naming EV-Solutions LLC d/b/a Atrium Car Rentals as additional insured and loss payee. To put the car on Uber or Lyft, you upload its registration and your insurance document, which names you and the car's VIN. Our renters drive on both today. Final approval and ride-tier eligibility are decided by the platform and your driver account.
Pickup is at 488 N 900 E, Provo, UT 84606 (Mon–Fri 11 AM–6 PM), and renters drive from Provo and Orem to Salt Lake City and across the Wasatch Front. Everything Atrium offers drivers is on rideshare car rental in Utah.
